Attorney Ruth Daniella Weissman is currently focusing her practice in the area of defending debtors against creditors, foreclosure defense, eviction defense, representing consumer debtors and filing bankruptcy petitions on behalf of consumer debtors in the State of Connecticut and the State of New York.

Attorney Weissman graduated from the University of Illinois where she majored in English and minored in business and accounting and was inducted into the Phi Betta Kappa Honor Society. Attorney Weissman continued her studies and earned a masters degree in English literature. Attorney Weissman took a brief break from academics in order to raise a family.

Attorney Weissman enrolled in Quinnipiac Law School, where she was an editor of the Quinnipiac Law Review, the highest and most prestigious honor at any law school. Attorney Weissman was voted President of the Quinnipiac Jewish Law Society. Attorney Weissman was also the recipient of the prestigious Sappern Fellowship and worked a law clerk handling domestic violence cases in Connecticut. Attorney Weissmn completed an externship with Connecticut Federal Judge Margolis. After Attorney Weissman graduated from Quinnipiac Law School she worked as a special public defender and handled numerous high profile criminal appeals and habeas corpus petitions. Attorney Weissman succeeded in reversing a number of convictions before the State Appellate and State Supreme Court when she worked as a special public defender. Attorney Weissman briefly handled appeals for a nationally renowned personal injury law firm.

The Weissman Law Office is owned and operated by Attorney Ruth Daniella Weissman. Attorney Weissman has been licensed to practice in all courts in the State of Connecticut, State and Federal, since 2003. Attorney Weissman is also admitted to the State courts of the State of New York, the Federal Appellate Court of the Second Circuit Court of Appeals, the Southern District of New York, the Federal Appellate Court of the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals as well as the United States Supreme Court.
